Bed & Breakfast Rooms

We offer five en-suite bedrooms. All rooms are light and airy, with Ledge and Nab having stunning sea views. Television, tea and coffee making facilities are available in all rooms. During the month of November we will be open everyday for the B&B but the Pub area will be closed on a Monday from 3pm.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT DUE TO NEW OWNERSHIP TAKING OVER MID FEBRUARY 2017 WE WILL STILL BE TAKING BOOKINGS BUT WONT BE REQUIRING A DEPOSIT YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY THE NEW OWNERS.

The Nab

The Nab is our premiere room with stunning views out over the Bembridge Ledge, with the Nab tower on the horizon. Perfect for any special ocassion, please contact us if you would like us to arrange any flowers or champagne to add an extra special touch to your room. 

All our rooms have televisions and tea and coffee making facilities, fresh milk is provided free of charge on request from the bar. 

Behind The Name
The Nab is named after the Nab tower that is a world war one anti submarine protection tower, but was first lit in 1920 to replace a lightship, it was manned as a light house until 1983 when it became unmanned. In 1995 the tower was switched to solar power and remains as a well known landmark in the solent for sailors and ferry travellers alike

Whitecliffe

Whitecliffe can be made up as both a double or a twin room, and offers a spacious room perfect for that weekend getaway on the Isle of Wight.

Behind The Name
Whitecliffe is named after 'Whitecliff Bay' which is a bay near the most eastern point of the Isle of Wight known as 'Foreland'. It is located between the Crab and Lobster and 'Culver Down' and is a popular destination for both tourists and fossil hunters alike. The bay was also one of the landing points for the French invasion of the Isle of Wight in 1545.

Little Forelands

Little Forelands is our smallest room, however it is perfect for that quick weekend getaway. Little Forelands is our only room in which you can book single occupancy in advance and features a shower instead of a bath.

Behind The Name
Little Forelands refers to 'Foreland' which is the most eastern point on the Isle of Wight. In the sea off the coast is the notorious Bembridge Ledge which poses a major threat to shipping and a common fishing ground for crab and lobster.

The Ledge

The Ledge is a front facing room, with a sea view across the Bembridge Ledge. The room can be made up as both a double or a twin room depending on your requirements. Please contact us if you would like us to arrange any flowers or champagne to add an extra special touch to your room.

Behind The Name
Bembridge Ledge is a large rocky outcrop that poses a major threat to passing boats. Although private sailing boats are most at threat a wide variety of shipping has come into problems on the notorious Bembridge Ledge over the years. The Crab and Lobster Inn is located on the cliff top over looking the ledge, making it a premiere location for boat watchers and casual strollers alike.

Culver

Culver has a double bed and a sofa area which are located in a seperate partitioned area to the bedroom

Behind The Name
Culver is named after 'Culver Down' which is a chalk down visible from the beach beneath the Crab and Lobster. The public parts of the down are owned and managed by the national trust however for many years the whole site was not open to the public as was a military zone, several of these old features remain including a coastal and anti-aircraft battery from the Second World War at the end of the cliff.
