The Crab and Lobster Inn is quite tucked away in the residential part of Bembridge and occasionally visitors have found it difficult to find us. Hopefully the directions on this page will cover most people’s travel plans and once you find the Widmill Inn our Brown Tourist signs should guide you in. However, if you struggle to locate us, then please do not hesitate to ring us on 01983 872244 and we will do our best to help you.

By Bus

From Ryde - Take the No. 14 Bus from Ryde Bus Station to Bembridge, Crossways Stop (30 min).

From Newport - Take the No. 10 Bus from Newport Bus Station to Bembridge, Crossways Stop (40 min).

From The Bus Stop- On exiting the bus head northeast on Crossway toward Egerton Rd (200 ft). Turn right onto Egerton Rd (0.2 mi) then turn left at Howgate Rd before turning almost immediately right into Forelands Field Rd, follow the road round and you will end up in our car park (approx 10 min)

By Passenger Ferry

Take the Wightlink FastCat Service from Portsmouth harbour to Ryde Pier Head (20 mins) and either walk down the pier or catch the Train to Ryde Esplanade Bus Station and then follow the directions for bus travel from Ryde.

By Car

From Bembridge Village - After arriving in the Village follow the road through the one way system around past Boots taking the next left into Foreland Rd/B3395. Continue along this road and when you see the Windmill Inn Directly in front of you, take a left into Lane End Rd. After passing a parade of shops on the left, turn right into Egerton Rd and at the end of this road turn left then immediately right into Forelands Field Rd Continue to follow this road which will lead into our car park.

By Hovercraft

Take the Hovercraft from Southsea (10 mins) to Ryde Pier Esplanade and walk over the bridge to Ryde Esplanade Bus Station and then follow the directions for bus travel from Ryde.
